Occupational Therapist at Hedesunda Färnebo Health Center

Hedesunda Färnebo Health Center is located 37 kilometers south of Gävle. The catchment area includes Hedesunda and large parts of Österfärnebo and Gysinge. The population base in the area is approximately 3,900 with 3,350 actively registered. Hedesunda Färnebo Health Center is part of the primary care area of Gävle, which consists of eight publicly operated health centers. We provide primary care based on the health choice assignment with medical consultations, respiratory care, home visits, child health care, district nurse consultations, psychosocial teams, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy.

The operation will become part of Region Gävleborg Din Hälsocentral AB, the company for publicly operated health and child care centers in Gävleborg. The transition will take place on February 1, 2026. Together we want to develop and shape primary care and create a good working environment for managers and employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you an occupational therapist who wants to work with us for our patients' opportunities for activity and health? The position is offered at 100 percent. The need at Hedesunda Färnebo Health Center is 50 percent, and the remaining 50 percent involves being part of the team in the primary care area of Gävle.

As an occupational therapist with us, you will work with:

• assessment of activity ability in consultation with the patient and need for rehabilitation measures
• assessments, prescription of aids, fitting, follow-up according to the prescription process
• memory investigations as a complement to district nurses' and doctors' assessments/investigations
• formulating statements in cases regarding housing adaptations, as well as applications for personal assistants
• monitoring of aid costs and rental responsibilities
• patient education and counseling
• individual treatment largely in collaboration with other professions
• assessments and occupational therapy measures in the patient's home.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a flexible and committed colleague who enjoys being part of the development at the health center and within primary care. You are responsible and solution-focused with good collaborative skills as we have a cross-professional collaboration.

In the role of occupational therapist, you should:

• be a licensed occupational therapist
• hold a valid B driver's license.

For this position, it is advantageous if you have experience working in primary care and/or home care.
