About the Job
The Linden Foundation is a non-profit organization driven by ideas. The organization has been in existence since 1990 and is run by an active board with extensive experience and expertise in the field.
The Linden Foundation conducts LSS activities where we offer housing and daily activities for adults with autism and intellectual disabilities. Our approach is based on an individual focus where each resident's unique needs are met. We create this through a clear approach and an empathetic and low-arousal response that gives each individual the opportunity to develop at their own pace and ability. The organization is located outside Vingåker and Katrineholm. The properties and location are well adapted to the needs of the target group for structure, predictability, and environmental therapeutic activities.
Working with us at the Linden Foundation means that you have a strong interest and understanding of other people's needs. You should be able to stand for our values regarding the equal worth of all people and that everyone does their best based on their circumstances. Our goal, which we constantly strive for, is that all our tenants should have a qualitatively good life where they can develop according to their own conditions. We always strive to develop and improve the quality of our operations.
We believe that equality is not the same as fairness, and all our work is based on an individual focus where the individual's needs, interests, and conditions are at the center. In addition to individual focus, our operations are permeated by the guiding principles of low-arousal empathetic approaches and clarifying pedagogy.
💚 Job Responsibilities
As treatment staff with us, you work closely with our tenants to create security, participation, and development in everyday life. You need to have a willingness to be part of making a difference for another individual, be able to contribute to creating a meaningful everyday life where each person has the opportunity to develop, and share our values in everything you do.
Your main job responsibilities include:
- Working based on the fundamental principles of LSS regarding self-determination, participation, and equality in living conditions.
- Creating conditions for each individual to manage their daily life through clarifying pedagogy and a structured approach.
- Working with low-arousal responses and focusing on building trusting relationships as a foundation for security and development.
- Working systematically and following routines, as well as continuously updating yourself on new or changed routines to ensure quality in the work.
- Supporting, adapting, and motivating tenants in their daily lives and activities.
- Participating in and performing household chores together with the tenants according to their needs and abilities.
- Ensuring that each individual receives the care and support needed according to the implementation plan.
- Working purposefully with the individual's development plan – through assessment, follow-up, and evaluation.
- Documenting interventions and development in digital systems in a quality-assured manner.
- Actively participating in APT, supervision, and organizational development.
- Contributing to a good work environment with positive energy, empathy, and professionalism.
- Having the mindset that all people do their best and being curious about why something might create problems or not work as it usually does.
Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend, as well as sleeper duty as needed.
