Skenäs Prison is located on Vikbolandet, approximately 30 kilometers outside Norrköping, and is not connected to public transport. Skenäs will be upgraded from security class 3 to security class 2 in 2026, which means a significant focus on general security work. The prison also houses a care department that includes security, health, and medical work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an administrative assistant at Skenäs Prison, you will be responsible for managing inmates' funds and invoices, as well as ordering and distributing phone cards. The work also includes archiving, mail handling, and ordering office supplies, as well as financial administration in the form of monthly reconciliations, coordination of inventory and purchases, and payroll management for clients.

The daily tasks within the administrative office include calculating sentences, handling court processes, and admissions and discharges. The work also includes all activity management with associated communication with probation, headquarters, and other judicial authorities, as well as responsibility for the prison's official mailbox. Additionally, administrative support to the manager and colleagues is included.

The position is a six-month temporary contract with the possibility of extension.

Collaboration is a given for you, and you communicate clearly, attentively, and constructively. Furthermore, you are stable, calm, and controlled in pressured situations. You maintain a realistic perspective, focus on the right things, and act professionally.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed upper secondary education or other education combined with work experience that Kriminalvården deems relevant
• Good IT skills, e.g., strong proficiency in Office suite programs
• Very good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• Driver's license B

It is advantageous if you also have:

• Training in sentence calculation
• Experience in administrative work
• Experience working with legal elements and/or academic qualifications in the legal field, preferably administrative law
• Experience in handling the legal client process in Kriminalvården
• Experience in administrative work within Kriminalvården, another law enforcement agency, or public administration, preferably with tasks such as record-keeping and handling confidential documents
• Knowledge of relevant administrative systems within Kriminalvården, such as KVR /Platina/Proceedo

OTHER
