We are looking for a Field Inspector for the EU Agricultural Support.
You will belong to the Unit for Agricultural Support, whose main purpose is to administer applications for EU agricultural support in Östergötland. About 20 people work in the unit in two workgroups, the field group and the processing group. The processing group handles the work related to applications, payments, and other processing related to agricultural support. The field group is responsible for checking farmers' applications for EU agricultural support.
Your tasks
As a field inspector with us, your role will be to check arable and pasture land to see if farmers' applications for EU support are correct. The work is very varied, involving both office work and fieldwork. Fieldwork means that you visit the applicant's farm and walk around their agricultural land to check that the conditions for support and compensation are met. During field days, you will be outdoors and move in areas where you may often encounter farm animals.
Outdoor workdays are interspersed with preparations and follow-up work through computer work in various IT systems. The job includes engaging in dialogue both verbally and in writing with the county's applicants for support. You will also need to request and check various documents.
Requirements for the position:
- You have a university degree in agriculture, biology, or the green industries, such as agronomy, agricultural management, or another university education that we assess as equivalent for the assignment.
- You have a B driver's license; good driving experience is a requirement.
- You communicate well in writing.
Meritorious:
- If you have an interest in agriculture and rural issues.
- If you enjoy working outdoors and are not disturbed by varying weather conditions.
- If you have experience working with EU agricultural support.
- If you have experience in fieldwork and working with the Agricultural Agency's applications.
- If you have experience in public authority work.

The employment is
A seasonal full-time position starting in April 2026 and ending in November 2026. Number of vacancies: 2-3. Start date by agreement.
