Business Analyst at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand, and client transport.

The section for operational support and analysis is tasked with developing and managing the client administrative systems for probation, remand, and prison so that they support client-related work and provide functional system support for users, as well as meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders for quality-assured information.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

To fit the role of a business analyst, we believe you have solid experience from client administrative tasks in probation. We also believe you feel confident explaining to others how the work with more complex executions functions where you work or have worked within the prison and probation service. In the role of business analyst, you will be able to use your experience in corrections and your knowledge for the management and development of system support, as well as assist employees who use it in their work. The job will also involve participating in various development assignments where you, together with colleagues, analyze the needs of the operation and translate these into requirements, as well as conduct tests to ensure that the system support meets expectations in connection with development and change.

The position is located at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's headquarters in Norrköping within the national department for prison, remand, and probation, with the possibility of placement in Stockholm or Malmö at one of the regional offices of the prison and probation service.

We are looking for you who have:

• Higher education or other training combined with extensive work experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
• Several years of experience working in probation
• Experience working in-depth with several of the various subsystems of the Prison and Probation Registry and understanding its function
• Very good knowledge of the sentencing process, penalty system, and correctional legislation
• Very good ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
• Good knowledge of MS Office

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience of various tasks and training within probation
• Worked in projects and assignments
• Worked with cross-agency issues within the justice system
• Managed system support, routines, and/or governing documents
• Experience in process mapping
• Experience in youth supervision
• Ability to conduct training sessions
