JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Language and Competence Center is responsible for the reception of newly arrived students, mother tongue instruction, and study guidance in Växjö Municipality. The unit also has a competence assignment within reception, mapping, and study guidance.
We are looking for someone to join our team in SKC for study guidance. As a study guide, you will support students in their language and knowledge development using their mother tongue, and act as a cultural and linguistic bridge. You will do this through close collaboration with the student's mentor and teaching staff at the primary schools.
Study guidance can take place before, during, and after lessons based on the student's and subject's needs. This means you will work both in class and individually with students in consultation with subject teachers. You will also work with students of various ages. The position is located at the high school.
The work involves collaboration with students, guardians, and school staff.

QUALIFICATIONS
We prefer that you have a post-secondary education, preferably pedagogical, and experience in study guidance. Qualities such as teamwork and flexibility are important in this role since your work will be in close collaboration with others.
We are looking for someone who:
- has very good knowledge of the study guidance language in both spoken and written form,
- has at least a passing grade in Swedish or Swedish as a second language 2 at the high school level,
- has good knowledge of Swedish culture and the Swedish school system,
- is accustomed to taking significant personal responsibility and can work independently.
The position is subject to the necessary decisions being made. The position is 20% SÄVA.
