About us

The Women's Clinic in Nyköping is the small clinic with a big heart. Here you get the advantages of a smaller hospital combined with high-quality care and treatment. Nyköping Hospital is geographically well located, close to the train station and motorway, and it is a walk of less than ten minutes from the train station. Nyköping is close to both the sea, nature, and several larger cities.

The labor, maternity, and gynecological care departments are located together as a unit at Nyköping Hospital and are situated alongside our outpatient clinics. As a midwife, you can work in all three units, and as a nurse, you can work in the maternity and gynecological departments. All our employees rotate, and we work in teams around our patients. Our team consists of midwives, doctors, nursing assistants, and nurses.

Your responsibilities

The position involves working in labor and maternity, focusing on the new family during the various stages when the family welcomes a new member: assisting with births and then providing aftercare for mother and child. In the gynecological department, we work with acute care, pre- and postoperative care, as well as end-of-life care. You will work in a team with other midwives, nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, physiotherapists, and social workers.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed midwife or licensed nurse, preferably with experience in labor care, aftercare, and/or acute care.

As a person, you are independent, responsible, structured, and empathetic. You find it easy to collaborate with others and enjoy working both independently and in a group. You have an understanding of how background, culture, and group affiliation affect you and others. We place great importance on personal qualities.

Employment form

There is an opportunity for rotation to other units within the clinic. Permanent employment full-time or as agreed. Start date according to agreement.
