Test Developer with a Focus on Performance Testing

We are now strengthening our IT department with a driven, innovative, and technology-interested employee who can support the teams with load and performance testing as well as test automation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a test developer focusing on performance testing, you will be part of a self-managing team with significant responsibility and freedom. In this role, you will develop and execute load and performance tests in close collaboration with our agile development teams. An important part is also to participate in evaluating and developing techniques, tools, and methods for load and performance testing as well as test automation.

The team helps to build and support our development environment, usually including the development and maintenance of the toolchain that supports the pipeline for continuous delivery. Typical issues the team works on include:

• dialogue and close collaboration with agile system development teams regarding their tool needs
• performing load and performance tests on demand and evaluating test results
• supporting our development teams in technology and methods related to performance testing and test automation
• continuous improvements to increase quality and efficiency in system development and production
• constantly developing new ways to automate, streamline, and ensure quality.

Our toolchain includes GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Mattermost, Kubernetes, Harbor, Nexus, Maven, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed and thrive in the role of test developer, it is important that you are engaged and passionate about testing, test automation, and performance measurements. You have a technical interest and enjoy problem-solving that drives you to want to understand new technologies and system dependencies. As a person, you are results-oriented, innovative, creative, and not afraid to challenge existing solutions or approaches. Your good collaboration skills are evident in your ability to listen, communicate, and willingly share your knowledge to strengthen the team's collective capability.

In this role, you need to have:

• a post-secondary education in IT and system development or relevant work experience in IT that is deemed equivalent
• practical experience in system development with Java, .NET, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages
• knowledge in the area of load and performance testing
• the ability to express yourself clearly in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you also have:

• experience with agile working methods
• experience working in a Linux environment
• practical experience working with load and performance testing
• experience analyzing test results and identifying needs for action
• experience working with any performance testing tool.
