The group that this position will belong to is Servanet Operations, which currently consists of 11 technicians and an operations manager.

We are now looking for a Senior Server Technician with Leadership Qualities

We are now looking for a senior server technician with leadership qualities who wants to help drive our technical development forward. In this role, you will combine deep technical expertise in both Linux and Windows environments with project management and strategic responsibility.

You will act as a technical expert, mentor, and project leader for our data center. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and further developing robust, secure, and scalable server environments that support the organization's goals.

Your Contributions as a Server Technician

• Overall responsibility for the operation, architecture, and development of server environments in Linux and Windows
• Lead/participate in technical projects from needs analysis and planning to delivery and follow-up
• Drive standardization, automation, and improvement initiatives within infrastructure
• Be responsible for security, documentation, and compliance in the server environments
• Work practically with the servers in our computing environment.
• Act as a technical advisor to management, other departments, and customers

Your Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• A minimum of a high school education in IT, preferably a university degree focused on IT, computer engineering, or network and system administration, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3-5 years of experience working as a server technician or infrastructure consultant
• Deep expertise in both Linux (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server (AD, GPO, IIS, PowerShell)
• Good understanding of networks, security, and virtualization (VMware, KVM)
• Good knowledge of network protocols, network configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with backup solutions and data protection.
• Preferably experience in project management and technical leadership
• Relevant certifications in network and server administration
• Good knowledge of scripting, e.g., PowerShell, Python
• Knowledge of data communication
• Class B driver's license
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
