At the IT department, there is a lot of exciting development work going on, with several major reforms that combine the renewal of technology, processes, and skills.

In our system development, we use, to name a few - distributed microservice architecture, container platform, Java, JavaScript frameworks, MQ, and SpringBoot.

We work with both custom-developed and standard systems, and right now we are building a completely new system support for the Transition Study Support.

Based on the needs of the business, you plan and manage your own daily work. You work in teams where we have high trust in each other's abilities, learn from each other, and solve challenges together. Competence development is important to us, and here you will meet some IT colleagues who will share their development journey!

We are now looking for several system developers for our office in Sundsvall

Job Responsibilities

With us, you will work in a team close to other system developers, IT specialists focusing on testing and requirements, scrum masters, architects, and product owners in a cross-functional collaboration where knowledge exchange and shared responsibility are at the center.

In the role of system developer, you will work with the entire lifecycle of our systems and applications. The role involves a combination of new development, further development, and maintenance of existing solutions, where you help create stable, secure, and future-proof systems that support the needs of the business.

Your main job responsibilities include:

  • New development of systems and functions based on business requirements and technical specifications
  • Further development and improvement of existing systems to meet new needs, increase performance, and enhance user experience
  • Maintenance of systems, including troubleshooting, bug fixes, updates, and technical support
  • Collaboration with stakeholders, product owners, and other developers to develop sustainable solutions
  • Participation in design, architecture, and technical choices
  • Ensuring code quality through testing, code reviews, and documentation

The role suits you who enjoy working both operationally and long-term, and who want to be involved in developing and maintaining systems over time.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Higher education, university, or vocational training in IT. Alternatively, work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent
  • Several years of current experience in programming with Java EE/SE/Spring Boot
  • Several years of current experience in all phases of development work
  • Several years of current experience working with agile methods (e.g., Scrum)

Furthermore, you have very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing and good knowledge of English.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience with tools/technologies such as: Eclipse/VS Code/IntelliJ, SQL, JPA/Hibernate, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins
  • Experience with automated testing, message handling, batch processing, application servers, version control
  • Experience with microservice architecture, container management such as Openshift
  • Experience with front-end development such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular/React/Vue
  • Knowledge of UX/Usability and accessibility (WCAG)
