We are looking for an Asset Information Manager

We are seeking an Asset Information Manager for a new and developable role. You are motivated by strategic and leading tasks and take responsibility for developing and streamlining processes and requirements regarding asset information to ensure the delivery of our socially important operations.

Your new workplace

The Department of Digitalization and Information Security (DIS) is building a new team for asset information that will support the management and development of our facilities. Together with colleagues, you will improve and digitalize the management of technical information.

The team consists of three people and will be a key player in MSVA's investment in quality-assured asset information. As the Asset Information Manager, you will develop and follow routines, processes, and guidelines for management and data handling throughout the lifecycle of the facilities, and support operations, maintenance, and projects in effective information management and digital transformation.

The role offers the opportunity to shape and develop the work in a new function while maintaining high quality.

How you contribute in the role of Asset Information Manager

As an Asset Information Manager, you will:

  • Drive the development of asset information and maximize its value.
  • Develop a future-proof strategy for information management focusing on standards and the asset register.
  • Be responsible for the asset information process and systems, and together with the DIS team, establish routines and working methods for quality-assured management.
  • Collaborate to ensure that processes, requirements, and system environments support desired working methods, drive change, and ensure that new strategies are successfully implemented.
  • Analyze the organization's needs and requirements, own overarching requirements throughout the lifecycle's various phases, and communicate requirements to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Set goals for information and data quality that support MSVA's operational goals and follow up on metrics together with the team.
  • Drive business development projects focusing on information management.
  • Organize, structure, and quality assure data about our facilities.

The role is under development, giving you the opportunity to shape it together with your manager and colleagues based on your skills, experience, and interests.

Your skills and experience

You who apply for this position have relevant experience as an information strategist within asset management and lifecycle management, or as a business developer, engineer, or project manager in areas such as information technology or civil engineering, or other experience that MSVA considers equivalent for the role. You also have a post-secondary education with a relevant focus for the position.

We want you to have:

  • Experience in digital management of technical information, e.g., asset information, asset data, or product information, including requirement specification, quality assurance, and governance of information and data.
  • Participated in or led improvement initiatives in digitalization, asset management, lifecycle management, operational governance, or business development.
  • Familiarity with monitoring trends in digital transformation or the development of infrastructure facilities.

We would also like you to have experience in:

  • The water and wastewater sector or other critical infrastructure management sectors and their technical information.
  • Working with standardized reference designation and classification systems and asset registers.
  • Standards, methods, and external requirements within asset information management, asset management, interoperability, and cybersecurity.
  • Process and routine development for effective and traceable management of information, including information modeling, object-oriented information, master data management (MDM), reference data management, and data quality work.
  • Structured change management, internal communication, knowledge transfer, and sustainable application of business development measures.
  • Tools and techniques such as PLM, CAD, BIM, VDC, GIS/NIS, or CIM.
  • Requirement tracking and review of information quantities.
  • Daily visual management.
