System Engineer in Transmission

About the Position

In the role of system engineer in transmission, you will be responsible for developing and ensuring the operation of our transmission networks and other critical communication solutions, including Rakel. You will work closely with an engaged team and have the opportunity to build specialist competence through both basic training and advanced courses in our unique systems.

Travel is included in the job as we also have equipment outside the airport and at nearby airports. Scheduled standby may be included in the role after approved training and certification.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Participate in projects to expand and maintain networks focusing on synchronized data and telecommunications as well as radio links.
• Develop high-level and low-level design (HLD/LLD) for existing and new networks.
• Participate in project planning, requirements specification, and technical evaluations.
• Train operations personnel in solutions and systems.
• Troubleshoot and optimize transmission technology.
• Independent fieldwork with high demands on quality and documentation.

Who Are You?

Basic Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in IT/telecom or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in transmission/network.
• Good knowledge of SDH and PDH.
• Experience configuring PTP radio links.
• Experience in network design and troubleshooting.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Driving license B.

Meritorious:

• Knowledge and experience with NEC radio links and/or RAD TDM equipment.
• Technical knowledge of TETRA/4G/5G.
• IP knowledge equivalent to CCNA.
• Experience with telecommunication systems.
• Familiarity with working in critical infrastructure.
