Product and Service Managers at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency

Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency makes 21 million decisions that affect people's lives and the entire society. We disburse approximately 260 billion SEK each year. These are all taxpayers' money that we manage. It is a significant responsibility. Therefore, we think innovatively and use the latest technology to simplify and improve, develop and deliver IT services for the Swedish social insurance system. About the Position

The IT application operations product area is responsible for service development and operation of applications for the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and other authorities. We deliver cost-effective, secure IT services with high availability and capacity.

We are in the midst of a transformation journey towards a product-centric organization where the demand for our services, both within the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and towards other authorities, is increasing.

We are now growing and looking for two product and service managers who want to contribute to further developing and streamlining our deliveries, ensuring stable operations, and creating even better conditions for a secure IT environment. With us, you will have an exciting opportunity to work with new technologies and modern working methods.

Your Responsibilities

You will belong to one of our product teams responsible for products and services where high collaboration skills are crucial, while you are driven and can work independently.

Your main responsibilities include having operational responsibility for our products and services as well as a leading role within our operations and management teams. This includes responsibility for lifecycle management and streamlining existing solutions as well as leading the implementation of new systems based on business needs. You will work with feasibility studies, procurements, technical implementations, and other similar tasks.

Your work is characterized by a holistic perspective, where you start from the business needs, and you will work with a roadmap at both operational and strategic levels. This means you need to have an agile working method, be able to prioritize, and feel confident in making decisions.

Qualifications

The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a strong security awareness.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has a university degree or equivalent experience and qualifications
  • has several years of work experience within a large-scale IT organization
  • has work experience in planning and resource management
  • has experience in vendor management or collaboration with external parties
  • has work experience from a leadership role within an agile team with prioritization based on backlog/roadmap
  • acts on their own initiative and takes responsibility for achieving good results
  • collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals
  • has a systematic and meticulous working method
  • has good communication skills, both spoken and written
  • has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • specialist competence and expertise in OpenSource
  • experience in procurement
  • experience in finance, budgeting, or forecasting
  • worked as a product owner or equivalent.

Other Information

Two positions, permanent, full-time, with start date according to agreement. A probationary period may be applicable. In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks will be conducted in this recruitment. Place of employment: Sundsvall.
