As a school librarian, you are responsible for running the school's library and developing its educational activities. You work with various methods to strengthen students' reading skills, both through your own program and in collaboration with teachers and other staff. This includes, for example, book discussions, reading projects, and various activities to spark and enhance students' love for reading. As a school librarian, you also work pedagogically with media and information literacy and general digital competence. Thus, you support the school in teaching critical source evaluation.
You should have an easy time building good relationships with children of different ages as well as with other adults. You should enjoy and feel comfortable working outwardly in meetings with students and teachers and be able to take on a leadership role. You will function as a partner to the teachers and a support to the students.
Stockholm International Academy is a free school that follows the Swedish curriculum. Instruction is conducted in Swedish.
