Do you dream of designing the amusement parks of the future?

Parks & Resorts Scandinavia – Sweden's largest amusement park group – owns and operates four of the country's most beloved destinations: Gröna Lund, Kolmården, Furuvik, and Skara Sommarland. In 2026, we will launch a brand new and unique internship for the amusement park designers of the future. In this internship, you will work alongside our Creative Director to shape real projects across all the group's parks – from the first ideas to finished experiences.

About the program

The role of an amusement park designer is multifaceted – where creativity meets technology, storytelling, and commercial thinking. The core is to create experiences that guests love and remember.

During six months, you will gain unique insight into how we work with:

  • Theming & world-building
  • Attraction strategy & master planning
  • Design methodology & visualization
  • Commercial optimization & guest psychology

The program is office-based and paid, with a workplace at Parks & Resorts headquarters at Gröna Lund in Stockholm. You will work with real cases, follow projects from idea to finished environment – and build a portfolio that strengthens your path towards a future in the world's most fun industry – the visitor economy.

More than just amusement parks

The demand for strong guest experiences in physical environments is growing rapidly – in retail, restaurants, hotels, museums, theaters, exhibitions, and play worlds. The skills you gain as an amusement park designer are therefore highly relevant far beyond the world of parks.
