ABOUT THE POSITION

As a production engineer for our partner in Umeå, you will have a central role in turning ideas into smart and sustainable production solutions. You will be responsible for developing and improving production setups, balancing data, and risk analyses, while optimizing work standards, ergonomics, tools, layout, and staffing. Through analyses and studies, you will identify areas for improvement and ensure efficiency and quality at every step. You will work closely with several departments and serve as an important link between design and production.

This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Academic Work and work on assignment at our client. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

This role involves actively working to develop and maintain production systems, identify areas for improvement, and drive technical projects from idea to implementation.

Preparation of balancing data, production setups, and risk assessments for safe and efficient production
Development of work standards and ergonomic solutions
Optimization of tools, equipment, layout, and material flow for smooth processes
Conducting time and frequency studies, staffing analysis, and thorough documentation

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

Has a completed high school diploma, preferably with a background in electrical engineering, automation, or equivalent deemed relevant for the position
Has production engineering experience from the manufacturing industry
Can communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as both languages are used in daily work
Holds a B driver's license

It is advantageous if you:

Live/have ties to Umeå
Have experience working with PLC programming
