Your Role

As a Preparation/Planning Engineer for Fixed Installations at Kankberg Mine, you will be responsible for preparation (ensuring materials, spare parts, resources) and planning (timely scheduling) of maintenance work on Fixed Installations. The Fixed Installations department includes facilities both underground and above ground, such as pump stations, pipelines, sprinkler systems, treatment plants, and buildings. In this role, you are a key person who contributes to creating the right conditions for good maintenance work, where you work proactively to plan, coordinate, and develop maintenance work to ensure high operational reliability and efficiency at Kankberg.

Your Team

In this role, you will closely collaborate with the foreman for fixed installations and three mechanics. You will also work closely with other internal and external parties. You report to the maintenance manager and are part of Kankberg's maintenance department, which consists of maintenance of mobile machines, maintenance of fixed installations, as well as storage and transport. You are based in Kankberg and work daytime hours.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare and plan work in our maintenance system Maximo.
  • Evaluate and prioritize work orders in dialogue with the foreman and facility owners.
  • Establish maintenance plans that consider both short-term and long-term needs.
  • Ensure that documentation and facility records are accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate with internal and external parties to ensure resources and efficient processes.
  • Contribute to improved operational reliability through continuous analysis and development of working methods.
  • Participate in projects and investments focusing on maintainability and functional safety.
  • Actively participate in systematic work environment and environmental efforts.

Your Contribution

We are looking for someone with good communication and collaboration skills who is adept at establishing professional relationships, both internally and externally. You are structured, analytical, and enjoy taking responsibility and driving development forward. Your good adaptability also makes you skilled at evaluating and reprioritizing actions when necessary. To succeed and thrive in this role, we see that you have good computer skills and an interest in technology, preferably in processes within industry or mechanical maintenance.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • High school education.
  • Work experience, preferably within production or process industry.
  • Fluent Swedish and English in both spoken and written form.
  • Driving license B.
  • Previous experience in planning, coordinating, and preparing maintenance work is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of maintenance processes is an advantage.
  • Good computer skills and preferably experience working in maintenance systems.
