APL, Apotek Produktion & Laboratorier AB, is tasked with manufacturing extemporaneous medicines, which are customized medications for individual patients, aimed at improving and saving lives. Many formulations are made for children and adults with various types of allergies. APL is state-owned and one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of extemporaneous medicines, as well as an established contract manufacturer within the life science industry, with resources for development, manufacturing, and analysis of pharmaceuticals. The Position

We are looking for a Pharmaceutical Technician to join the Assembly group within Manufacturing in Umeå. The tasks involve setting up machines, washing, assembling, packing, and sterilizing equipment and packaging materials used in manufacturing. The tasks are performed largely manually and partly mechanically. Sterilization of goods is done through autoclaving or dry sterilization. You will be part of a team of eight people who rotate at different workstations. Other tasks within Manufacturing may also become relevant.

Our operations have very high requirements for hygiene, quality, and precision as the work is performed according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and in cleanroom-classified facilities.

The position is a fixed-term employment lasting until December 31, 2026. The position is full-time, 40 hours a week, daytime, Monday to Friday, and based at APL's facility in Umeå. Start date is according to agreement.

We are looking for someone who

  • has a high school education, preferably with a technical or scientific focus

  • has technical/practical knowledge and interest

  • is meticulous and quality-oriented

  • has good documentation skills

  • speaks and writes Swedish fluently.

It is also beneficial if you have

  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or within the food industry

  • Experience with LEAN

  • Knowledge of GMP
