The Center for Information Technology and Medical Technology (CIMT) aims to work long-term and modernly with the right capabilities to deliver and realize the region's needs for development, system management, operational technology, and IT infrastructure. We have about 300 employees and are represented at the region's three hospitals - in Lycksele, Skellefteå, and Umeå.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a medical technology engineer with us, you are an important support to healthcare. You perform service and enable interventions that affect many. We are looking for someone who finds joy in working with interesting technology that directly benefits healthcare. You will work with the technology throughout its lifecycle.
Your responsibilities include participating in investment planning, procurement, and performing incoming inspections. The role also involves carrying out both corrective and preventive maintenance, as well as managing the decommissioning of equipment. You assist healthcare personnel with advice and training related to medical technology equipment and support the organization with technical expertise. The position includes leading and participating in various assignments, such as feasibility studies, investigations, and management activities. Together with the organization, you work to improve, digitize, and/or automate workflows with the help of technical support. You are also responsible for implementing and prioritizing changes to achieve established goals.
Currently, we primarily need to strengthen our expertise in fluid technology. You will work with medical technology equipment related to fluid technology in hospital care, such as dialysis machines and infusion pumps. You will be part of the Physiology and Care Systems section within the Department of Operational Information Technology and Medical Technology in Västerbotten. The section works within the technical areas of monitoring, respiration, and fluid technology in hospitals and primary care.
You will be based in Umeå, but work may occur throughout the county since we are a regional clinic.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a trained civil engineer, engineering graduate, or has education or experience that the employer deems equivalent. Practical experience in medical technology is an advantage.
As a person, you are solution-oriented, curious, and have a service-oriented attitude. You communicate clearly and build trust with people both internally within the organization and externally with suppliers and other stakeholders. You are proactive and self-driven in your work and have good collaboration skills. Since the work involves documenting completed work in our inventory system, you should also be structured and meticulous. You can communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, and have computer skills and knowledge of the Office suite. You contribute to a good work environment and good relationships within the team.
Travel within the county may occur, so a B driver's license is required.
