Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) is a leading independent school group with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. Teaching is in both Swedish and English, and the hallways are bilingual. The language of meetings and communication amongst the staff is English.

IES Växjö is a F-9 school with an affiliated after-school program. For the 24/25 school year, we have approximately 300 students. The school started in August 2022. IES Växjö is a bilingual school. Therefore, you should be comfortable communicating with colleagues, students, and their families in both Swedish and English – including in writing. We encourage internationally educated teachers who join us to learn Swedish and complete their teacher education to eventually obtain a Swedish teaching license.

Every student should have the opportunity to develop based on their conditions and feel confident in their own abilities.

Even if you are studying to become a teacher, you may be considered for employment. For permanent employment, a teaching license with authorization to teach is required.

This is you!

You are a qualified teacher with a Swedish teaching license for NO in grades 6-9. For this position, it is important that you can express yourself in the Swedish language. You are motivated by having regular contact with guardians, leading mentor time activities in line with the mentoring program, and collaborating with colleagues in a supportive environment. As a teacher, you are a clear and active norm setter. The position also includes a class in mathematics for grade 8.
