About the Department

Within the Medicine, Geriatrics, and Emergency Department at Östra, approximately 800 people work in the emergency department, inpatient wards, outpatient clinics, research units, and home care teams.

Everything we do is patient-centered, and our way of working reflects this. We actively engage in development and research and enjoy working together.

What do we offer?

We are passionate about creating value for our patients! We work together in teams to ensure the right competencies are present around the patient. We place great value on having a sustainable work environment, both in terms of work conditions and good collaboration among all professions. As more care can be managed outside the hospital and more patients need us, we need to expand our unit for specialized home care. Within this unit, our new care model, Home Care, is growing, allowing us to offer patients certain treatments at home instead of in inpatient care.

In the Home Care Team, you will be part of a group of nurses and doctors providing specialized care at home. The Home Care Team operates across the entire hospital's catchment area and collaborates closely with emergency departments, prehospital care, alarm centers, care units within Sahlgrenska University Hospital, as well as regional and municipal primary care. Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone with extensive experience in acute specialized care who enjoys problem-solving with the patient in focus, together with other stakeholders around the patient. You thrive in and find it easy to work in a team while being confident in making your own decisions and taking responsibility. You are comfortable making your own assessments and can adjust your planning based on what the day requires. In the role of nurse with us, you will staff one of our vehicles either alone or with a colleague.

We place great value on flexibility to reach as many patients as possible, and you need to handle both a fast pace and changing plans for the day. The pace of development is high, so you need to enjoy rapid changes in working methods and routines. The job also includes staffing on weekends.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse with solid experience. You must hold a valid B driver's license and be a confident driver. Specialist training and/or experience in emergency care is highly meritorious. Experience with ELVIS, SAMSA, and Melior is an advantage.

In the event of recruitment of nurses/doctors with foreign licenses/specialist certificates, the current position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish licenses/specialist certificates.

Conditions

Permanent employment after six months of probation.

The full-time measure is 38 hours and 15 minutes per week.
