Resource Nurse for Elderly Care in Mariestad Municipality

Within the health and medical care unit in Mariestad Municipality, approximately 50 nurses work, of which 10 are located in our care and nursing homes and short-term care. Here we have a good community and support each other.

We are now looking for a resource nurse to cover and strengthen where needs arise in our elderly care homes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will have varied job responsibilities, which include:

• Planning, implementing, and evaluating health and medical care interventions.
• Coordinating the patient's health and medical care contact with other healthcare providers.
• Working with preventive measures to maintain health.
• Working in a team with other nurses, care staff, rehabilitation staff, and case managers.
• Collaboration with the responsible healthcare center physician.
• Contact and support for relatives.
• Safe and traceable documentation.

Your working hours are daytime Monday to Friday. You will also work every third weekend, where both daytime and evening shifts will be relevant.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for this position, you must be a licensed nurse and have work experience in elderly care.

As a person, you should be positive, attentive, and have a good approach towards residents as well as colleagues, care staff, and relatives. Furthermore, we see that you have good collaboration skills and are solution-oriented. You should be secure in your professional role, have broad health and medical care knowledge, and be able to work independently. Since the position involves being a resource, we expect you to enjoy working in different workplaces and meeting many different people with varying health and medical care needs.

If you are used to communicating with alternative and augmentative communication and have previous work experience in municipal health and medical care, this is considered an advantage.

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement for the position.
