We are therefore looking for a speech therapist and a special education teacher who wants to contribute to preventive and health-promoting work and together with us strengthen the opportunities for our children and students to have the best conditions to develop and reach as far as possible in their knowledge development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a special education teacher in the common student health services, you have a comprehensive and qualified assignment focusing on children and students with suspected or confirmed weak theoretical ability and/or multilingual children and students with significant difficulties in their language and knowledge development. The assignment extends from preschool (4-5 years) to grade 7 and includes both individual, group, and organizational levels.

You work closely with our other special education teacher within the common student health services, whose assignment, among other things, addresses children and students with potential intellectual disabilities.

You work consultatively and provide reflection support to student health teams (EHT) when analyzing needs based on completed investigations and when evaluating implemented measures. An important part of the assignment is to support special education teachers, principals, and working groups in their work.

The special education teacher is organizationally placed in the common student health services and has the student health manager as the immediate supervisor. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other professionals within the common student health services.

Your responsibilities include:

• Reflection support to EHT when analyzing needs and following up on measures
• Consultative support to special education teachers, principals, and educators
• Focus on children and students with weak theoretical ability and/or multilingual children and students with significant difficulties in their language and knowledge development.
• Comprehensive work with handover organization between operations: preschool - primary school - high school/introduction programs
• Monitoring developments in the field of special education
• Contributing to the development of the municipality's student health work at a strategic level

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed special education teacher. A master's degree or doctorate is an advantage.
• Has solid knowledge and experience working with weak theoretical ability or multilingualism combined with significant difficulties in language and knowledge development.
• Has a very good ability to work consultatively and provide guidance.
• Is confident in working both strategically and close to operations.
• Has good collaboration and communication skills.
• Wants to work across the municipality and contribute to equality.
• Experience working in preschool and school is an advantage.
