Your responsibilities

With us, you will primarily teach in the introductory program for kitchen and service, but other programs and parts of our operations may also be relevant. You will be part of a team where you collectively organize, structure, and drive the operations based on governing documents and goals. The assignment also includes contributing to operational development and the school's quality work.

Your qualifications

We are looking for a licensed vocational teacher in kitchen and service. You have previous experience working in kitchen and service and possess good knowledge in service. You have knowledge of modern gastronomy, sustainability, and environmental issues related to the industry, as well as good knowledge in entrepreneurship. Additionally, you have good knowledge in food craftsmanship and its production, as well as modern dining craftsmanship and beverages. We also see that you have good experience working with students in the profession, and if you have experience from a similar position, we view it positively. You are a person who sees opportunities and is used to taking initiative. You have a solution-focused approach, are confident in your role, and have a strong interest in working with youth and adults. You are flexible in your teaching and are good at motivating and adapting your instruction. We see that you are independent in your work while enjoying collaboration with your colleagues.

We offer

Tranellska is part of Västerås city's educational activities, and we are the most experienced education provider in hotel, tourism, restaurant, and bakery. Here, approximately 240 high school students and 40 adult learners study. We educate the future chefs, waiters, bakers/pastry chefs, and employees for the hotel and tourism industry. We are now facing an exciting development process that requires great commitment from all of us. We are located in modern and well-equipped facilities next to Lögarängsbadet.

Interviews may be conducted continuously during the application period.

In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a certificate of citizenship along with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit.
