Job Description

We are now looking for a nurse for an exciting new position at the jaw clinic at the university hospital. It is a combined position with administrative tasks combined with some simpler nursing tasks. We are looking for a nurse who wants to help us coordinate care for children born with various types of cleft lip and palate (CLP), combined with some simpler practical nursing tasks.

The CLP team at the University Hospital in Linköping is responsible for care planning and largely also for the treatment of patients born with some type of CLP from the entire Southeast healthcare region. Patients are followed throughout their growth with regular check-ups, usually from the newborn period until they are 20 years old. Care contacts are coordinated for the jaw clinic, ENT clinic, and plastic surgery clinic. Most weeks' CLP outpatient visits end with a summarizing treatment conference where future care needs are summarized.

By including a nurse, we wish to strengthen the collaboration on the nursing side. As a nurse in the CLP team, you will take care of scheduling patients' appointments with the various clinics and participate in Monday's treatment conference.

Work Group

The jaw clinic is part of the Sensory Center at the University Hospital in Linköping. The jaw clinic is a relatively small clinic with about 35 employees but with a large area of operation within jaw surgery, jaw orthopedics, and oral medicine. The jaw clinic treats patients with diseases in the facial and jaw region or with complicated jaw and facial defects. Other common treatments involve accidents with injuries to jaws, facial and jaw regions, infections, jaw joint diseases, and dental surgeries. We provide county, regional, and out-of-county healthcare/dental care. Specialized care and research are conducted at the clinic, and the clinic collaborates with other specialties in plastic surgery, neurosurgery, and ENT at the University Hospital in Linköping.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. You are a nurse with a few years of work experience. If you have worked with pediatric or surgical nursing, it is an advantage.

As you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and social skills. You are present and as a person, you are secure, stable, and have good leadership skills, which means being able to give and receive feedback, inspire, and motivate your colleagues. You are attentive and clear in your messages and work well with others. You take initiative, achieve results, and see opportunities in changes.
