Service Engineer

Your Role

Your tasks will include commissioning, troubleshooting, as well as service and maintenance of our systems onboard Swedish and foreign naval vessels.

Your primary work takes place in a lab environment where performance measurements, troubleshooting, and repairs of radar sensors are carried out. You will work in a small team but also independently. Some tasks will be performed at sea.

Your Profile

You have a technical education or equivalent relevant training and have an interest in technology in general. You are communicative, quick to learn new things, and easy to collaborate with both colleagues, subcontractors, and customer representatives. Much of the work is conducted in English, so good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, is required.

Desirable qualifications and experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Experience with measurement technology using oscilloscopes, signal/pulse generators, and spectrum analyzers
• Experience in radio/radar technology
• Experience with marine systems
• Experience in commissioning and servicing marine systems
• Soldering certification/connector crimping certification

You enjoy working in a team and finding efficient solutions and are open to trying different areas of technology. You are systematic, meticulous, and persistent. You are also an engaged, outgoing, and creative person who wants to develop both personally and professionally. It is natural for you to share your knowledge with your colleagues and customers.

Travel may be required in this position.

On-call duty may occur.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, require certain citizenship.
