About the Role

Do you want to use your broad experience and expertise in mechanical engineering to shape the products of the future? At AFRY, you will have the opportunity to work as a consultant and lead the development of innovative solutions in mechanical engineering. We are now looking for an engaged mechanical designer to join our team in Karlshamn.

As a mechanical designer at AFRY, you will play a central role in the development of groundbreaking products and solutions that meet our clients' most challenging needs. You will participate in mechanical design projects from concept to finished product, while also having the opportunity to grow through support from senior colleagues and contribute fresh perspectives to the team. We work with everything from idea and concept development to delivering finished installations to our customers. We perform design work in plastics, precision mechanics, special machines, heavier constructions, and much more.

Requirements

To succeed in the role of mechanical designer, we prefer that you have a relevant university degree in mechanical engineering, product development, or similar, with an interest in sustainability and the environment. You have several years of experience in mechanics and design, where you have worked on developing solutions that consider both functionality and environmental impact. We value your ability to drive projects forward with a focus on sustainable methods and materials, while also being a good communicator.

You have strong skills in managing and coordinating information in a structured manner, which is important in the development of sustainable products. Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, and/or Inventor is essential. You are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and thrive in digital environments.
