About the Position

Are you a recent engineering graduate with a strong technical interest and curiosity about how complex software systems really work? Do you want to contribute to innovative testing work with high quality in world-leading technology? Then the role of software tester at Axis Communications might be just right for you. We are currently looking for recent graduates or junior engineers who want to develop in software testing at Axis Communications in Lund. The position is a consulting assignment where you will initially be employed by Poolia, with very good opportunities for transition to a permanent position at Axis.

Your Main Responsibilities

As a software tester at Axis, you are a central part of the development process and work with quality throughout the entire product lifecycle – from requirements and design to finished product. You will be part of a development team where testing and development go hand in hand.

As a tester, you will:

• Work closely with developers to ensure robust and reliable software
• Test both manually and automatically, using scripted and exploratory methods
• Help develop test strategies, test environments, and testing tools
• Have the opportunity to understand the products in depth – both software, systems, and networks
• Learn from both junior and senior testers in a strong technology and quality culture

The role suits you if you enjoy analyzing, troubleshooting, and understanding how things are interconnected – and of course, you are curious about both testing and technology!

Who Are You?

You are a recent graduate or at the beginning of your career and have:

• A Master's degree in engineering, such as computer engineering, electrical engineering, or similar
• A genuine interest in software, technology, and problem-solving
• Basic knowledge of networking
• Experience in a Linux environment, either through studies, thesis work, or personal projects
• Basic knowledge of programming or testing (e.g., Python, C/C++, scripts, or test automation)

If you have experimented at home, set up your own servers, built hobby projects, or otherwise deepened your technical interest outside of your studies, we see it as a great plus.

As a person, you are:

• Curious, structured, and meticulous
• Communicative and enjoy working in a team
• Comfortable expressing yourself in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing
