We will introduce a 36-hour workweek in 2026 for staff with client-facing work.

It is important for us to take care of those who start working with us. As a new employee, you will receive an introduction tailored to your needs and circumstances, as well as a special mentor who guides you in your work. The Assignment

As a specialist social worker, you will strengthen the work in the most difficult and complex cases, assist in acute situations, handle LVU, be a methodological supporter, and act as a mentor to newly hired staff. Together with responsible group leaders and the unit manager, you will be a driving force in methodological development issues. We work, among other things, based on BBIC, Signs of Safety, and safety planning. You should also be able to relieve group leaders as needed. Job tasks may change based on the unit's varying needs, and since we also handle foster home investigations, it is advantageous if you have experience working as a foster home secretary.

You need to bring with you

Qualifications

  • Social work degree and at least five years of experience in authority work with children and youth
  • Very familiar with the laws governing the operation, especially SoL and LVU
  • Very good documentation skills and knowledge of LifeCare.
  • Very good knowledge of BBIC and preferably also of Signs of Safety
  • Driving license B

Meritorious

  • Previous experience in methodological support work
  • Experience in investigation and supervision of foster homes

As a person, you are flexible, reliable, and take responsibility for planning and following up on your work. You contribute to a good working environment by supporting and helping your colleagues and sharing information. You develop, improve, seek solutions, learning, and knowledge on your own initiative. You are the link between the foster home secretary and the child's social worker, providing service and monitoring the environment. You have an approach that shows that the most important thing is that our children receive good care during their placement time.

All those hired to work with children and youth must submit a criminal record extract from the police authority's criminal record, the e-service for application via digital extract or form can be found on the police's website.
