Workplace Description

The Open Care Team is part of the social services' first line and consists of a small team of seven employees, characterized by close collaboration and a good team spirit. The service targets children, youth, and families and has a clear focus on early, accessible, and preventive interventions. The work is carried out in close cooperation with families and other key actors around the child, based on a systemic and relational approach, where the child's best interests, participation, and safety are guiding principles. The interventions are designed together with the family based on their needs and can be provided both as open interventions and on assignment through assistance decisions from social services.

Job Responsibilities

As a family therapist, you will work with children, youth, and families facing complex and multifaceted issues. The assignment aims to strengthen protective factors, reduce risk factors, and create sustainable changes in the family's daily life. The family therapist's work is conducted within the framework of the ongoing transformation of social services, where voluntary and open interventions constitute an increasingly central part of open care. The assignment is characterized by early, accessible, and relationship-building interventions aimed at preventing more intrusive measures and strengthening the family's own capacity for lasting change. The work is also carried out on behalf of social services and is conducted in close cooperation with the family and other relevant actors around the child.

The therapeutic work is based on a systemic and relational perspective, where the child's needs are always at the center. The interventions are tailored to the family's specific situation and may consist of individual sessions, family meetings, parent conversations, and network meetings. The work can take place both in the family's home environment and in the service's premises. The role includes working with structured and evidence-based methods.

Documentation and follow-up are an integral part of the work. The family therapist is responsible for ongoing record-keeping and follow-ups in Treserva, as well as contributing to the basis for the assignor. The work is characterized by clarity, legal security, and professional accountability.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or an equivalent academic qualification that the employer considers equivalent.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with complex family issues
• Step 1 training.
• Further training in, for example, family therapy, CBT, ABC, FFT, or Safer Children
• Training in and experience with rePULSE, MI, and/or Crime as a Lifestyle
• Experience and knowledge in Signs of Safety
• Experience working with documentation in Treserva.
• Language skills other than Swedish and English

About the Employment
