About Us

Welcome to Närhälsan Sörhaga health center! Here, 25 dedicated employees work in various professional categories.

Currently, we have about 8,300 registered patients of different ages, and we work together to best meet our patients' needs. The BVC is closely connected to the health center, where psychologists for parenting and small children also reside.

The health center is centrally located in Alingsås with close access to Alingsås Hospital. It takes about 40 minutes to travel from central Gothenburg to us. The train station is about a 10-minute walk away, and there is a bus stop right outside. If you drive, there are good parking opportunities that are also free. The health center is also near green areas, including Nolhaga Park, which is perfect for lunch walks.

About the Job

Your tasks at the BVC are varied, where you follow children with guardians from newborn until school health care takes over. You play a central role in meeting families' needs, making medical and nursing assessments and priorities. You work health-promoting, advisory, and treatment-oriented both via phone, home visits, digital care meetings, and at the clinic.

You will work with health checks, vaccinations, and parent groups. The patient group consists of children aged 0-6 years with families. Collaboration occurs in interdisciplinary teams at the health center, and cooperation also takes place with external care providers such as preschools, schools, and specialist healthcare. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, so supervising students is also part of your role at the clinic.

About You

You are a licensed nurse with specialist training as a pediatric nurse or district nurse. It is an advantage if you have experience working at BVC and/or have a supervision training of 7.5 credits.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and is confident in making their own decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can effectively prioritize among your tasks.

In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you thrive in teamwork, and for you, it is natural to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing and are an engaged and good listener in both digital meetings and visits to the clinic. We hope you have an interest in digitalization and business development.

Travel in the job may occur, a B driver's license is required.

About the Recruitment Process

The selection takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who call candidates for a phone interview. Thereafter, the recruiting manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalizing answers – this is to help us understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the result was.
