The Child and Youth Unit with the investigation team and placement team is one of four units within IFO and works to investigate and follow up on interventions for children who are at risk due to conditions at home or due to their own behavior. The unit employs social workers, child caseworkers, foster care caseworkers, and a unit manager. The other units within IFO are: Reception and Adult Unit, Open Care Unit, and the Economic Assistance Unit.
Job Description
There are many advantages to working in the Child and Youth Unit in Ekerö Municipality - we have the opportunity to work through cases at a calm pace and have time to reflect. We have a relatively low workload and room for development. In the unit, all colleagues care for each other and provide support when needed.
We are now looking for two social workers who want to work as social caseworkers, one as a specialist investigator in the investigation team and one as a child caseworker in the placement team. As a specialist investigator, you will be responsible for investigating and making decisions according to SoL and LVU and following up on certain interventions for children and youth aged 0-20 years. As a child caseworker, you will be responsible for following up on children and youth placed outside their home as well as children with contact family interventions aged 0-20 years.
Being a specialist investigator means being responsible for cases that are complex in nature and supporting and introducing social caseworker colleagues in the investigative work at social services as an experienced colleague. As a specialist investigator, you will have the opportunity to delve into cases that require more extensive investigations and contribute to the development of the investigative work.
Being a child caseworker means having continuous contact with children placed in foster homes, support housing, and HVB. The role of the child caseworker is primarily to act in the best interest of the child or young person, being attentive and responsive to the child's/youth's needs and wishes for support.
In both roles, you are expected to have a good ability to create trusting and continuous relationships as well as good knowledge of children and child development. The positions involve collaborating with key actors around the child/youth and their family. We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference!

We work with BBIC, MI, and Signs of Safety. We offer you training in the methods we use and actively work with supervision.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should:
- have a degree in social work
- good knowledge of children and child development
- current and relevant experience in social services work within child and youth investigation or foster care
- good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing
- good administrative skills and a good sense of order, as well as being analytical and structured
- courage, strength, commitment, energy, respect, and empathy in meetings with children and adults.
A driving license (B) is an advantage but not a requirement.
