Unika Nimbus Children and Youth Home is a flexible operation where we have the opportunity to meet each resident's individual needs and interests in everything from leisure activities to daily wishes. We often take trips to nearby attractions, engage in leisure activities together, visit nearby shops, or take the bus downtown. We strive for participation and influence for our resident youth in everything from cooking to choosing a movie during our movie nights.

As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to individuals with disabilities, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in daily life. You will support the users in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, focusing on each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for the users to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with a high quality of life. As a support assistant, you will work based on clear pedagogical methods and low-arousal responses to create safety and predictability in the users' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the resources and budget of the operation.

Qualifications

• Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
• Driver's license (B)
• Experience in care and support
• High school education such as child and leisure program, care and support program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogy, social pedagogy, or higher education in a relevant field.

It is an advantage if you also have

• Experience in psychiatry, AAC, and low-arousal responses.
• Worked with complex support needs.

Employment Conditions

Working Hours: Extra as needed.Working Time: Evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call shifts may occur.Start Date: By agreement, we look positively on if you can start soon.Collective Agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.
