Vivant Care, the Trygga Barn operation

Vivant Care is now seeking 5 Foster Families and/or Emergency Homes for project employment related to placements within the Trygga Barn operation. Employment is offered in connection with the placement of children and occurs in the form of project or fixed-term employment with salary.

Trygga Barn is a family and emergency home service that receives placements of children who have been subjected to various forms of violence, such as attachment trauma, psychological violence, and acute protection needs. The children may exhibit trauma and mental health issues, such as self-destructive behaviors, trauma diagnoses, insecure attachment, and anxiety problems.

Trygga Barn is the first foster home service in Sweden where all placed children are assigned a child representative with confidentiality towards the foster home, in order to ensure good care and prevent misconduct. The operation also has specialist competence in narcissistic and emotional violence.

All foster homes and emergency homes within the operation are offered continuous training, supervision, and relief.

The employment is linked to the actual placement of children. If a caregiver needs to be home full-time, project employment with Vivant Assistans is offered, with salary according to agreement. In cases where leave of absence is required from another job, this is compensated through the employment.

The recruitment refers to concrete employments and not expressions of interest or the building of a candidate database.

As a foster home or emergency home, you are responsible for:

• providing the child with a safe, stable, and loving home environment

• meeting the child's daily care needs, schooling, and contacts with healthcare and other services

• collaborating with the operations manager, social services, child representatives, guardians, and other stakeholders

The foster home receives children for shorter or longer periods. You have the opportunity, in dialogue with the operation, to influence which target group and case complexity you accept. Previous experience is not a requirement – training and supervision are offered continuously.

The emergency home receives children at short notice, often during acute placements. For this role, it is required that an adult can be home full-time during the placement. A driver's license and a stable living situation are required.

We welcome all types of family constellations, such as single parents, couples, same-sex couples, and families with or without children of their own.

Requirements:

• At least 18 years old

• The child must be offered their own room

• Extract from the criminal record, suspicion register, social register, LOB register, as well as registers from the Social Insurance Agency and the Enforcement Authority

• For emergency homes: driver's license and the ability to be home full-time
