Your role with us

You will be booked throughout Kristianstad municipality and sometimes with short notice or same-day bookings.

As a childcare worker, you will work to promote children's natural curiosity and desire to learn. Based on the preschool curriculum, you will work from each child's knowledge, experiences, and specific conditions with a low-arousal approach. The work involves constant attention, analysis, and understanding of situations in the child group.

In close collaboration with preschool teachers, childcare workers, and childcare assistants, you will work to create a safe, inspiring, and educational preschool where you are active in the team's planning, implementation, documentation, evaluation, and development of the educational activities. Understanding each other's professional roles is of utmost importance. Contact and collaboration with guardians is an important part of the work, as well as taking responsibility for your own personal development. The work can be physically and mentally demanding.

Who are we looking for?

You who are applying have one of the following qualifications;

• high school diploma from the child and leisure program with a focus on pedagogical and social work
• approved from the vocational package Childcare Worker within adult education or equivalent education to childcare worker within folk high school
• degree/approved grade from equivalent education that the employer assesses as sufficiently comprehensive in pedagogy and child development and learning
• fulfill parts of the educational requirements and have at least three years of work experience as a childcare worker

We would like you to have documented experience of working in a child group within preschool or have other experience of similar tasks or other work experience.

You need to be able to choose methods within the pedagogical methods and techniques that the preschool works with, as well as the ability to stimulate children in their development. To succeed in your role as a childcare worker, it is important that you have empathetic ability and can collaborate. You are a balanced and stable person with a professional attitude and can handle situations that arise in a safe and calm manner. As the work can be physically demanding, you need to be in good physical shape. We also want you to have good digital skills and strong communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.

We prefer that you have a B driver's license and access to your own car to be able to get to our schools around the municipality.

When we want to offer you the position, you must present an extract from the police's criminal record to be employed, according to the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
