Our client is now looking for a Junior Software Developer who wants to take the next step in their developer career in a technically demanding and structured environment. The role is suitable for you who have a few years of practical experience in software development and who want to work closely with system engineers, testing, and operations. You will be part of a development team where quality, clear requirements, and collaboration are at the center 🤝 and where you will have the opportunity to contribute throughout the development chain – from requirements gathering to implementation and testing.

In this role, you will work on the development, further development, and maintenance of software components according to given requirements and technical specifications. The work includes participation in requirements gathering and analysis together with system owners and other stakeholders 🗂️, as well as implementation of functionality in accordance with established architecture and coding principles. You will actively participate in test development, testing, and quality assurance of solutions 🧪 and work closely with the testing and verification team to ensure stable and correct functionality. The role also involves troubleshooting, bug fixing, documentation, and participation in code reviews and joint development activities 💬.

To be considered for the role, you have 1-3 years of experience in software development in a professional environment. You have worked with one or more programming languages such as C++, C, Java, C#, or similar 💻 and have practical experience working with requirements, for example through requirements gathering, breakdown, or working from technical specifications. You also have experience in test development or testing-related work and understand the importance of quality assurance in the development process. You are used to working in a structured manner, using version control such as Git 🔧, and communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written.

It is a plus if you have participated in the development of real-time critical systems or components with high demands on reliability and performance ⏱️. Experience from maritime command systems or other defense or security-critical environments is considered particularly advantageous ⚓. Experience with embedded systems, hardware-near programming, test automation, or working in systems with long life cycles is also a plus.
