About the Job

We are looking for you who… are a trained specialist nurse/nursing assistant with experience working in dementia care.

Are you interested in working to support and provide people with dementia a meaningful and good everyday life? Then a job in the day activity at Villa Videbeck might be right for you! We are currently looking for staff for Club Cura, Club Mira, and Club Vides day activities aimed exclusively at people with dementia. Our guests come from all over Lidköping Municipality.

Job Responsibilities

You will start your shift by preparing the day for the guests who will come to the day activity. After that, the day's guests will be picked up by minibus. When you return, you will design the day's content together with the guests based on their wishes and needs, from an activating approach. The day ends in the afternoon when you drive the guests back to their homes.

The goal of the day activity is to create meaningful days for the guests where they feel safe and seen. When the day ends with us, the guests should feel good inside and feel that the day has given them well-being. Furthermore, the goal is to have good contact with relatives, and the activity is also an important part of supporting relatives in their daily lives.

In your role, you work to create a safe and sustainable relationship with the guests and their relatives. Your work includes ongoing documentation, and it is natural for you to actively collaborate with colleagues, relatives, home care groups, or shift care. Your role also includes offering support conversations to relatives.

Today, the day activity is open during the day from Monday to Sunday all year round, including holidays, but if needs arise, other times may become relevant.

As a nursing assistant with us, you contribute to good care and support for users in their homes. You will work with care tailored to the individual's needs. This may include social and physical activities, both individually and in groups. In your work, you assist the user with health and medical care interventions as well as rehabilitative interventions on the orders of a nurse, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist.

Case management is part of your work, which means you have special responsibility for one or more individuals. You help create good relationships with colleagues, users, and relatives. Your work also includes ongoing documentation and responsibility for establishing, following up, and revising implementation plans.

Who Are You

For the position of specialist nurse, we are looking for someone who has completed vocational training as a specialist nurse. For employment, you are required to attach grades in your application that confirm your eligibility.

Having previously worked and/or having in-depth knowledge and training in the field of dementia is an advantage. You have the ability to create security and to meet and understand the guests' needs. For you, it is natural to have a professional approach in your work, and you should feel confident in your professional role and be attentive. You have a positive attitude and take responsibility for the operation as well as contributing to a positive work environment and your own development.

You need to have pedagogical skills, and as a specialist nurse, you also need to be comfortable holding training and guidance for groups.

Since social documentation and communication are important in your work, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish as well as good computer skills.

You must have a B driver's license for at least 5 years and be able to drive a minibus; having good experience driving a minibus is an advantage.

Requirements:

• Proof of protected professional title for nursing assistants from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate from a previous employer confirming that you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023.
• Vocational college diploma as a specialist nursing assistant or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Swedish in speech and writing as well as good reading comprehension.
• Basic digital competence.

Meritorious:

• Care and welfare college diploma.
• Experience of similar work and/or training in dementia.
• Experience in documentation.

Conditions

We are looking for both specialist nursing assistants and nursing assistants for permanent employment at 100%. You will work scheduled hours XXX

Your employment will be within the Social Welfare Sector of Lidköping Municipality, which means that you may work in other units than Villa Videbeck.

Start date according to agreement.
