We are looking for dedicated and caring care assistants for our new special accommodation for people with dementia and respite care.

We need to expand and strengthen our new team with an additional care assistant, and we see that you can start as soon as possible.

Smedbergsgården is a new and modern unit that has a close and family-like atmosphere where every day is unique. Centrally located in Arvika with proximity to everything you need. Opportunity to grow and develop in your role alongside a supportive team and an attentive manager.

You provide care and support to our care recipients with a focus on their individual needs. As part of our team, you will work closely with the care recipients and their relatives to provide individually tailored care and support. You collaborate with colleagues to ensure the highest quality of care and create a safe and homely environment where our care recipients feel seen and cared for. We also see that you are comfortable working varying shifts including days, evenings, and weekends to support the needs of the care recipients.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of care assistant, we see that you have:

  • High school education as a care assistant, nursing staff, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you also have:

  • Further education regarding behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD).
  • Driver's license (B).

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as a care assistant include:

  • Performing medical care and rehabilitative interventions delegated by licensed personnel.
  • Documenting work according to the Social Services Act (SOL) and the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL), which means you create implementation plans, write deviation reports, etc.
  • Working according to the National Value Framework and the care and support dignity guarantees.
  • Providing care recipients with a meaningful everyday life, ensuring they receive good care of high quality so that they feel secure.
  • Together with your colleagues and immediate manager, integrating innovative technological solutions to create a safe and stimulating environment for our care recipients.
  • Planning and organizing work in consultation with the unit manager and colleagues.
  • Contributing to good communication and close collaboration with our care recipients, their relatives, colleagues, other professional groups, and management.
  • Performing tasks according to established delegation and decisions made by the unit manager.
