Elias Fries Preschool Area

The Elias Fries Preschool Area is located in Hyltebruk and consists of two preschools: Kantarellen 2: department 1: 3 years (at Elias Fries School) and Tallen 3 department: 4-5 years (center).

Both preschools are surrounded by beautiful nature that we often take advantage of.

We work a lot with play as it contributes to learning and development in children through language, imagination, challenges, and social interaction.

To enhance the preschool's ability to stimulate development and learning, as well as to offer safe care for all children, we have had the professional development initiatives, "Special Education in Preschool" and "Learning Environments in Preschool". During the school year 23/24, the professional development initiative "Reading Boost" is for preschool.

The little extra in our area is that we work with signs and visual support, for everyone's right to good communication!

We want you, together with other employees at the preschool, to create safety, joy, and inner motivation in the children and provide them with the tools they need to meet future challenges. Together we work for the children's best interests and to develop the operations to continuously meet the children's individual conditions and needs. We place great importance on collaboration as all children in the preschool are everyone's responsibility.

The preschool strives to have an approach where children's curiosity and joy of discovery are encouraged and stimulated. Children should be given the opportunity to explore and test their theories together with co-researching and involved adults. The outdoor area is an important pedagogical environment for play and learning. Nature provides children with rich experiences and strengthens their interest and curiosity about nature. We often stay in the local area but also make shorter and longer excursions. By offering nature experiences, we want to create an understanding of the interplay between animals, nature, and humans.
