Welcome to Närhälsan Torpavallen healthcare center, we are looking for someone interested in working with us as a nurse.

The healthcare center is a pleasant, well-functioning, and friendly workplace located in Örgryte/Härlanda, a quiet area in eastern Gothenburg. The workplace is characterized by an open atmosphere, care for the patient, a willingness to develop, and collaboration across professional boundaries. We have about 11,000 registered individuals, a relatively large proportion of whom are children and middle-aged people. Our mission also includes medical services at BVC, nursing homes, disability housing, and home healthcare.

About the job

Your tasks at the healthcare center cover a broad field and include the general medical area where you meet patients of all ages and situations. You work in an advisory, health-promoting, and treatment capacity in primary care, via phone, at the clinic, digital healthcare meetings, and sometimes even home visits.

The work involves both acute and planned activities. You work largely independently where you triage, treat, and follow up on patients. Close collaboration occurs with your colleagues in the unit and cross-professionally in the team, but also together with other actors such as residences, home healthcare, and other specialist care. Together with the healthcare center management, you are responsible for developing and driving the operations forward. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, so supervising students is also part of your role at the healthcare center.

About you

You are a licensed nurse, preferably with a few years of experience. It is an advantage if you have experience working in primary care and/or relevant advanced training, such as supervision or experience working as a rehabilitation coordinator.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and is confident in making their own decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can effectively prioritize among your tasks.

In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you enjoy teamwork and have a natural ability to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts in your work. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing, and you are an engaged and good listener in both digital meetings and visits to the clinic. We would also like you to have an interest in digitalization and business development.

About the recruitment process

The selection takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who invite relevant candidates for a phone interview. After that, the recruiting manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them for an interview at the healthcare center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalizing answers – this is so that we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
