Skaraborg Hospital (SkaS) operates in several locations in Skaraborg, including Falköping, Lidköping, Mariestad, and Skövde. We provide specialized healthcare in about thirty specialties and work together for the health of our patients throughout their lives, offering cohesive and secure care. About us

The Forensic Psychiatric Unit at Skaraborg Hospital in Falköping is a security class 2 facility with 24 beds for individuals sentenced to care under the Act on Forensic Psychiatric Care.

There is also an outpatient team that follows up on patients who no longer need inpatient care but still require support.

We have about 90 employees – ranging from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and psychologists to occupational therapists, social workers, activity pedagogues, and treatment assistants. We are a developing organization. This autumn, the unit expanded with 9 beds in security class 3. For this expansion, we are now looking for additional caregivers.

About the job

As a caregiver with us, you will work with forensic psychiatric care in collaboration with contact persons and other team members. You will work closely with the patient and be involved in their daily life. You will help and support in various situations, both practically and in conversation. You will have access to regular supervision.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with an approved nursing education or a qualification that the employer assesses as equivalent. You are flexible, stable, and self-driven. You also find it easy to collaborate and are guided by ethics and values in critical situations at work.

It is an advantage if you have an education focused on psychiatry or previous experience working as a caregiver. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, and you should have an interest in working with forensic psychiatric patients and their specific needs.
