Job Responsibilities

Uggledal Care and Nursing Home has 48 apartments with both dementia and somatic focus.

You will have a fun and changing assignment that varies based on the individual needs of the tenants and the care staff's need for support and guidance. As a specialist nursing assistant with us, you will have the opportunity to utilize your specialist competence to create value for our tenants. Your assignment will be guided by the needs of the business and aims to enhance quality and improvement efforts.

In addition to the regular nursing assistant duties, your role as a specialist nursing assistant includes mentoring and guiding your colleagues in care situations, interactions, and approaches based on person-centered care.

Your work may involve:

• Mentoring, guiding, and educating colleagues in complex care and nursing situations, supported by your in-depth knowledge of person-centered and salutogenic care.
• Actively working on quality development within your specialist area, based on the identified needs of the organization.
• Collaborating with different professions and stakeholders within elderly care.
• Planning and executing nursing interventions within your area of expertise supported by your specialized competence.
• Providing person-centered care and support to individuals with complex care needs.

Your working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Trained nursing assistant with the National Board of Health and Welfare's certificate of protected professional title.
• Trained specialist nursing assistant with a higher vocational education degree of at least 200 YH points in areas such as geriatrics, palliative care, specialist care, dementia, emergency care, or other relevant focus deemed suitable by the employer.
• Good knowledge of the requirements in daily work at a care and nursing home and experience working in care and support.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as communication and documentation are important parts of the job.
• Good knowledge of social documentation.
• Experience mentoring individuals and groups is an advantage.

You are driven and productive, take responsibility and initiative to move the work forward. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. You adapt your communication according to the recipient, and your ability to be flexible allows you to quickly adjust to changes and see opportunities in new situations. You find it easy to collaborate with everyone, create a positive atmosphere, and put the tenants' needs at the center.
