Business Controller at PMC Hydraulics

PMC Hydraulics is an international industrial group with roots in Sweden and operations in several countries. We develop and produce hydraulic systems and components with high demands on quality, efficiency, and technical expertise. The group is in an interesting phase with ongoing development of governance, processes, and IT support within Finance.

About the Position

We are now looking for a Business Controller based in Helsingborg. The role is broad and operationally close, reporting directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities

As a Business Controller, your overall tasks will include:

Analyzing Gross Margin for the group’s companies
Production controlling
Ad hoc analyses
Budget work for Sweden and Denmark
Drive the group’s budget process together with the CFO (who owns the process)
Monthly closing and reporting for the holding company (currently two)
Certain reconciliations in connection with monthly closing for the holding company
Cognos reporting for the holding company and some smaller subsidiaries
TREND reporting (flash) for Denmark, Sweden, and some smaller subsidiaries
Internal invoicing from the parent company (e.g., IT costs, management fees, etc.)
Responsible for updating Transfer pricing documentation (Masterfile and local file for certain countries)

In this role, you will be involved in developing and implementing processes for the global finance function in collaboration with the CFO and other economists in the team. You will ensure good use of the ERP system in our processes and work towards developing and implementing an efficient use of IT systems within Finance.

Suitable Background

You are a business economist or have a corresponding educational background. We see that you have several years of experience in qualified financial work, preferably with Business Controlling, ideally in a manufacturing environment. You may also come from one of the larger auditing firms with experience in auditing and reviewing manufacturing companies. You should have some experience in accounting. Very good knowledge of both Swedish and English, spoken and written, is required.

We are looking for a curious person with strong drive and excellent communication skills. You can process and understand large transaction flows and have the ability to convey your conclusions to people in different roles, not just to economists.

The role requires high analytical ability as well as the ability to see connections and to question working methods in a positive and constructive manner. You are interested in the business, build trust with colleagues and employees, and enjoy working closely with both finance and business.

A clear interest in processes and the development of IT support is important, as well as an understanding of how flows and processes in a manufacturing company work.
