Operational Purchaser for Saab in Linköping

About the Assignment

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient supply chain by managing Saab's suppliers and the activities related to the purchasing process. You will handle everything from placing orders and requesting quotes to monitoring deliveries, managing returns and complaints, as well as reviewing invoices.

A central part of the job involves following up and improving supplier performance, with the goal of ensuring the highest possible quality and delivery reliability. You will also be involved in purchasing activities in both ongoing and new projects, collaborating closely with the purchasing manager and technical and engineering teams. Furthermore, you will work on improvement initiatives and drive development within your area.

As an Operational Purchaser, you will have the opportunity to build a broad and valuable network, both within Saab's organization and with suppliers.

About You

We are looking for someone with basic experience in commercial work and knowledge of supply chain. You are an engaged and structured team player who is passionate about building long-term relationships, both with suppliers and internal partners. To thrive in this role, it is important that you appreciate collaboration and have a natural ability to create trust and good relationships. Your persistence and ability to work goal-oriented are crucial for success in this role.

We prefer that you have a university degree (BSc) in purchasing, a vocational education, or equivalent documented education. You need to have good skills in working with a business system, such as IFS or similar, and be accustomed to using MS Office, especially Excel.

Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written, are required for the position.
