Operational Buyer/Supply Manager

About the Role

As an Operational Buyer/Supply Manager at Saab, you will be responsible for ensuring deliveries by managing suppliers and related purchasing activities. You will become an important part of the purchasing organization and be responsible for operational purchasing tasks as well as supplier contacts related to, for example, purchasing inquiries, quote requests, delivery monitoring, returns, and complaints.

In your role, you will actively work to:

Monitor and improve supplier performance.
Drive and participate in purchasing activities for new and existing projects.
Collaborate closely with sourcing managers, technical teams, and engineering departments.
Initiate and lead continuous development work within your area of responsibility.

You will build a broad professional network, both with suppliers and within the organization.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with basic commercial experience and solid knowledge within supply chain. You are committed, structured, and thrive in a role where collaboration and relationships are in focus. You find it easy to collaborate with both colleagues and suppliers and are persistent in your work.

We would like you to have:

A university degree or vocational education in purchasing or equivalent documented education.
Solid experience working in business systems such as IFS or similar.
Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Experience with international projects or additional language skills is a merit.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
