In the city of Mölndal, we take pride in having Sweden's most important jobs where we together create the best possible everyday life for our citizens. With knowledge, courage, and creativity, we develop our operations and contribute to making Mölndal an even better place to live and work. Welcome to make a difference in people's lives every day!

Katrinebergsskolan is a primary school (F-6) with approximately 185 students, of which about half have a place in our after-school activities. This is divided among three after-school centers. The school is located in the Åby area with nearby environments that invite many opportunities within the educational mission. The school is organized into work teams. For us at Katrinebergsskolan, the whole and the collaborative work around our students is an important starting point, based on our governing documents.

Lilla Förskoleklassen is a specially adapted program within the preschool class at Katrinebergsskolan in the city of Mölndal. The program is aimed at children who face significant intellectual challenges and cognitive difficulties before starting school and who need a smaller and more structured learning environment.

The purpose of Lilla Förskoleklassen is to provide children with a safe and accessible start in the school world and to create good conditions for learning and development. Throughout the year, the program works with pedagogical observations and assessments that form the basis for the child's continued schooling, for example, in preparation for a possible transition to adapted primary school.

Lilla Förskoleklassen operates within the primary school, and children do not need to have a confirmed diagnosis to participate. The work is carried out in close collaboration between educators, student health, guardians, and central functions in the municipality. The program is characterized by clear structure, high adult presence, and a relational approach where the children's needs are at the center.

In Mölndal's school administration, we work every day to create the best conditions for children's and students' development and lifelong learning. With about 2,000 dedicated employees and 12,000 children and students in our operations, we are Mölndal's largest administration - and a hub for the education of the future. Here, you will become part of a curious, brave, and solution-focused organization where innovation is encouraged and the best interests of the child always come first.
