Vildmarkens Preschool is one of the largest preschools in Borås City, with seven age-divided departments and approximately 140 children. Here we work closely together in several common forums where all educators participate in the continuous development work. This gives you good opportunities for collegial learning and a workplace where quality and professionalism are in focus.

We work on projects where we integrate goal areas from the curriculum based on an annual cycle. We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy through our pedagogical approach, project work, and our learning environments. Over the past year, we have had a particular focus on language-rich play environments that stimulate children's language development through play. In all departments, we offer joyful and well-thought-out learning environments that give children the opportunity to explore and express their various languages. We also have a lively studio where children regularly receive instruction and can explore their language through aesthetic expressions.

Vildmarkens Preschool is also part of a unique collaboration with Borås Zoo. Through this collaboration, we aim to strengthen children's empathy, compassion, and responsibility for both people and animals - values that permeate our operations.

As a preschool teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching. You actively work with pedagogical documentation to follow up and develop the work in the children's group. Together with your colleagues in the work team, you create good opportunities for children's development and learning.

We work in smaller groups for most of the day with a preschool teacher/childcare worker in each group. This means that you independently lead teaching and activities for your group, but the planning of the teaching is done together with your colleagues in your work team (3-4 people). If you are new to the profession or need time to grow into the role, there is an opportunity to initially work alongside more experienced colleagues before taking full responsibility for your own group. To provide the best possible conditions, you have pedagogical development time included in the schedule - time set aside for reflection in the work team, collegial learning, and your own planning. You also have access to your own iPad as support in planning and documentation in our digital platforms.

Within the Preschool Administration, we have free pedagogical lunches, work clothes, and as a preschool teacher, you also have an average of five hours of planning time per week. We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher. It is an advantage if you have experience working with creative and joyful learning environments where aesthetic expressions are highlighted, as well as if you have an interest in animals and nature. If you have studio artist training, it is to your advantage as we will need to add that competence to our education during the year.

Since we are a large preschool, it is important that you are flexible, collaborate well with different colleagues, and can make quick decisions when situations change during the day. You also have the ability to lead and drive the development of the work team forward. As the teaching takes place in smaller groups, you need to be comfortable working independently and in a structured manner. You are communicative, responsible, and comfortable with digital tools - where the iPad is a natural part of daily work.
