Do you have experience working at a strategic level with international contacts where collaboration and negotiations are central parts? Would you like to represent Sweden in a multinational helicopter project aimed at making Sweden and the world safer? Then you might be the one we are looking for.
About the position
As the project manager for Helicopter 14, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and following up on a complex operation. The project is now in a phase where the helicopter system has been commissioned in its final configuration within the Armed Forces, and the focus is on its maintenance. The role leads a project group, together with an assistant project manager and several sub-project managers, in close collaboration with the product manager. Furthermore, the project manager is responsible for leading, motivating, and participating in communication with stakeholders and suppliers, as well as in contract negotiations.
As a project manager, you operate at an international level as your role also involves representing Sweden in the international collaboration with the NATO Helicopter Management Agency (NAHEMA). NAHEMA is a Program Office within NATO and represents the member countries as an extended FMV. The project manager works closely with our Liaison Officer stationed in southern France, where both NAHEMA and the industry NATO Helicopter Industries (NHI) have their headquarters. The work involves frequent contacts with suppliers, NAHEMA, and the Armed Forces, which may require domestic and international travel.
The position is based in Stockholm.
About you
You are a trained civil or engineering graduate and have project management training or equivalent relevant knowledge acquired in other ways that we consider comparable. We see that you have several years of experience leading projects with subordinate project staff, and we prefer that you have experience leading underlying sub-projects. To succeed in the role, we see that you have knowledge and experience in a leading role during complex negotiations and previous experience in project work with international contacts.
It is very positive if you have experience and knowledge of technical system work, preferably within the aeronautical field. Previous experience and knowledge of the material planning process and public procurement are advantageous. It is a significant advantage if you have good financial knowledge and familiarity with the military environment. Of course, you communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
Personal qualities are of great importance to us. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences, and we are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with others, is attentive, and solves problems constructively. You also have a very good ability to analyze and solve complex issues while making correct assessments and priorities. Furthermore, you think strategically and have a broad perspective on issues, considering the long-term significance of matters. As a person, you have the ability to lead and motivate yourself and others through engagement and participation to achieve common goals.
