About the role of Senior Project Manager

Sweden, and especially Stockholm, is facing a major energy transition. Within the Large Projects and Programs unit at Ellevio, we work on the significant structural changes planned for the Stockholm network, aimed at increasing the renewal of our electrical installations, enhancing capacity, and reliability.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to influence and drive the projects and development of the electricity network. You are responsible for ensuring that we meet requirements for time, budget, safety, environment, and quality during execution. You will be responsible for large projects carried out in an exciting and complex environment where, in addition to the technical aspects, you represent Ellevio in contact with customers and contractors.

You will follow and be responsible for the entire execution of the project from start to finish, including customer connections, developments, and reinvestments. You will also have the opportunity to participate in developing our project management practices, from improving workflows to suggesting new tools or systems. The role involves a broad network of contacts, and you will work both internally with colleagues and departments within Ellevio and externally with customers, stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.

The team you will join consists of about 15 engaged, happy, and knowledgeable Project Managers who drive large projects throughout the Greater Stockholm area. The group is a mix of permanent employees and consultants, and we now want to strengthen our internal expertise. You will alternate between office work and site visits.

About you

We are now looking for someone who enjoys being a project manager and has at least five years of experience in project management within electrical power, construction, or infrastructure. It is an advantage if you have managed electrical power projects at the highest voltage levels and have been a coordinating project manager. You also have previous experience and knowledge in contract/construction law and negotiations.

You have a relevant university degree in engineering, economics, or equivalent work experience. Since much of our communication is in Swedish, you need to be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written, but you also need to have good knowledge of English as it may occur with suppliers.

As a Senior Project Manager, you need to have excellent communication skills and be confident and stable in both your competence and yourself. You have a clear drive and a structured methodology to push your projects forward from start to finish. We appreciate that you are development-oriented and have experience and interest in developing processes and methods related to project management. Furthermore, you need to have good social skills and enjoy and have a knack for collaborating with various parties and stakeholders. You are adaptable and have a sense for identifying win-win solutions that move projects forward.
