The Stockholm South operational area is part of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, Region Stockholm, and consists of Asptuna prison in Norsborg and Beateberg prison/remand in Trångsund.

Asptuna prison is an open facility with 178 places in security class 3.

Beateberg prison is a closed facility in security class 2 with 80 places, as well as an open section, Grindstugan, in security class 3 with 8 places for women.

The Beateberg remand center is located within the same area as Beateberg prison. The remand center has 88 places in community.

At the prisons, studies are conducted for clients at basic and upper secondary levels. There is a carpentry operation where clients are engaged in various types of work tasks.

Clients also have the opportunity to participate in labor market training in kitchens (large-scale catering/restaurant).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Property Technician, you will primarily work at Asptuna prison. The work schedule may depend on needs and ongoing projects. You are part of a team of four where your colleagues work at their respective locations as Security/Property Technicians. Your tasks will cover the entire prison area, including client environments.

As a Property Technician, you will work with the technical and physical management of the property. Daily tasks mainly consist of property maintenance related to operations. You will also be responsible for local service, service requests, and troubleshooting. Contact with contractual suppliers regarding fault reporting and service.

QUALIFICATIONS

Your personal qualities are important to us. As a Property Technician, you take responsibility for your tasks and have the ability to structure and drive processes independently. You have both internal and external contacts. You have good collaboration skills, are service-oriented, and calm and stable in stressful situations. You are comfortable managing smaller projects, obtaining quotes, and quality-assuring completed work and invoices from various external suppliers.

To thrive and succeed in your role, it is important that you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of humanity, respect for the individual, and belief in the potential for human development. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. Furthermore, you are expected to contribute to ensuring that everyone is treated equally through your approach. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who has the following requirements:

  • Post-secondary education/vocational training with a focus on property technology, service technology, property management, or equivalent
  • Previous work experience in property maintenance such as caretaker, property manager, or similar
  • Very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing
  • Driving license B

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Previous experience/technical knowledge of e.g., alarm systems, fire systems, locking systems
  • Good IT skills in a Windows environment
  • Experience/knowledge regarding SBA work and fire protection systems
  • Previous work experience in construction, plumbing, electrical, ventilation, or similar
